In presenting the world with her exquisite new range of certified organic skincare and natural lipsticks, Karen Murrell draws on a life lived of beauty.
"When I was a little girl, my grandmother taught me to make soap and skincare creams, just as her mother had shown her. Back then, early New Zealand settlers had to make their own beauty products as there were no shop-bought ones available."
As the beauty brand's Creative Director, Karen also draws on her background in the health and beauty sector. She has a proven track record in the industry, having developed and distributed the Skinfood unisex skincare range in Europe, Asia and New Zealand with great success.
Now she is focussed on bringing the world a new type of beauty where ethics and aesthetics are no longer mutually exclusive.
"I believe people are seeking a skincare and cosmetics range that combines aesthetic appeal and outstanding quality with conscience."
Therefore, her commitment to proving her products' organic worth has encompassed 18 months of research and development.
"Consumers demand so much more now than just a 'natural' product. Natural has moved to organic and organic must be proven by an independent party like ECOCERT. We look right back to where our ingredients come from, if they are renewable, and if our sourcing them is helping a community grow - yet without compromise to creating beauty products of superior quality."
Karen appreciates beauty in her surroundings, living with a view of an island and by a beach at which she can swim daily.
"Nature in New Zealand, where I was born, is truly beautiful, so with creativity and product knowledge I have introduced beneficial extracts from it to the Karen Murrell range. I so hope you love these luxurious beauty products as much as I do."
